| Working experience and occupation | Ms. Mak Ai-Leen has extensive experience in corporate finance within the British American Tobacco (BAT) group, having held key managerial roles across different regions. She is currently the Corporate Finance Manager for BAT Japan, where she leads financial results and cash reporting, cash flow optimisation, and treasury control in one of the company's major revenue-generating markets. She has been serving BAT from October 2019 as Business Control Analyst. In September 2021, she was promoted to Area Control & Compliance Manager in BAT. In August 2022, she then served as Corporate Finance Manager for BAT's Global Travel Retail, where she managed cash flow forecasting, strengthened internal controls, and improved governance processes. She has received multiple recognition awards for her leadership in control enhancement and financial stewardship. She also played a key role in financial planning, reporting, and statutory compliance across both roles. She is also a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants from 2018 up to the present. |
