The Board of Directors (“Board”) of GPP wishes to announce that a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, Green Energy Resources (M) Sdn. Bhd (“GERSB”)., has received a Judgment in Default of Appearance (“Judgment”) from Chin Lau Wong & Foo in respect of a civil claim initiated by a customer, Berkat Setia Sdn Bhd (“Plaintiff”).  The Judgment was dated 27 November 2025 and was physically received by the Company on 23 December 2025.

Pursuant to the Judgment, GERSB has been ordered, inter alia:

(a) to carry out the installation of a cooling tower, including all related earthwork, piping and wiring works, at the Plaintiff’s palm oil mill within fourteen (14) days from the date of the Judgment; and

(b) to pay loss of profit and general damages, the quantum of which is to be assessed by the Court.

In addition, the Court awarded discretionary and statutory interest at the rate of 5% per annum on the sums to be awarded, as well as legal costs and all reasonable legal fees and expenses incurred by the Plaintiff in recovering payment.

The Company is currently seeking legal advice on the Judgment and evaluating the available options. At this juncture, the Board is of the view that the Judgment is not expected to have a material adverse impact on the financial position or operations of GPP and its Group.
