The Company would like to inform that a fire incident occurred at one of the two manufacturing plants of Emico Penang Sdn. Bhd. (“Emico Penang”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. The affected factory is located at Plot 93, Lebuhraya Kampung Jawa, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang (“Emico Penang Plant 2”).

The fire started at approximately 9:10 a.m. on 3 February 2026. There were no injuries or casualties resulting from the incident. The fire department is currently conducting investigations to ascertain the cause of the fire.

The incident affected certain parts of the production floor. Operations at Emico Penang Plant 2 have been temporarily halted pending the completion of investigations by the relevant authorities and the restoration of the power supply. The Management is taking the necessary measures to mitigate production disruption, including rearranging production to other plants, expediting the appointment of contractors to restore the production facility, and rescheduling shipments where necessary.

The other manufacturing plant and production facilities of the Group are not affected and continue to operate as normal.

The Company has yet to ascertain the financial impact arising from the incident. Nevertheless, the Company wishes to inform that the building, inventories and machineries are adequately covered by insurance.

The Company will make the necessary announcement on any material developments in relation to the above incident in due course.
