Sime Darby Berhad (“Sime”) wishes to announce that UMW Lubricant International Sdn Bhd (“ULISB”), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime, has commenced a Members’ Voluntary Winding-Up in accordance with Section 441 of the Companies Act 2016 following the passing of a special resolution by its shareholder at the general meeting held on 27 February 2026.

Ms Lam Suk Kham of Unit 7-03, Wisma Conlay, 1 Jalan USJ 10/1, Taipan Business Centre, 47620 Subang Jaya, Selangor has been appointed as the Liquidator of ULISB.

ULISB was incorporated on 25 January 1972 with its principal activities being manufacturing and trading of lubricants and specialty products.

The liquidation of ULISB is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings or net assets or operations of the Sime Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2026. None of the Directors or major shareholders of Sime or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the winding-up.
