1. INTRODUCTION

The Board of Directors of MTG is pleased to announce that Sediacom Sdn. Bhd. [Registration No. 201101003546 (931684-W)] ("SSB"), a subsidiary of MTG, has on 6 March 2026 accepted a letter of award from a contractor ("Company A"), in relation to the sub-contract works for the design, supply, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of 275kV transmission underground cables and 275kV TNB switchyard extension at Pencawang Masuk Utama ("PMU") Bukit Tarek for proposed development of interconnection facility and transmission lines for large scale solar 5 Petra (LSS 5 Petra) at Bestari Jaya to 275kV PMU Bukit Tarek, Hulu Selangor, Selangor ("Sub-Contract Works").

Company A, incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 2016, is principally involved in the electrical instrumentation, modification, installation testing, calibration and related works for industrial and commercial works on-shore and offshore. For confidentiality and commercial reasons, the identity of Company A will not be disclosed in this announcement.

2. DURATION AND VALUE OF THE CONTRACT

The total contract value awarded to SSB is RM10,540,000.00 and the Sub-Contract Works shall commence upon the issuance of written approval by Company A granting access to the project site ("Site Possession Date"). SSB shall complete the Sub-Contract Works within six (6) months from the Site Possession Date.

The indicative works schedule are as follows:

- Horizontal direct drilling works: April 2026 to October 2026

- Cable pulling works: August 2026 to October 2026

SSB shall complete the Sub-Contract Works within the stipulated duration, subject to any extension of time granted in writing by the contractor.

3. FINANCIAL EFFECTS

The Sub-Contract Works will not have any effect on the share capital and substantial shareholders' shareholdings of MTG and its subsidiaries (collectively, "MTG Group"). The award is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of MTG Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2026.

4. INTEREST OF DIRECTORS AND/OR MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS AND/OR PERSONS CONNECTED TO THEM

None of the Directors and major shareholders of MTG, and/or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Sub-Contract Works.

5. DIRECTORS' STATEMENT

Having considered all aspects of the Sub-Contract Works, the Board of Directors of MTG is of the opinion that the acceptance of the Sub-Contract Works is in the best interest of the MTG Group.

6. APPROVAL REQUIRED

That Sub-Contract Works is not subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company or any other authorities.
