Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd. ('PMRMB' or 'the Company') refers to the announcement dated February 10, 2026, updating on the product jetty collapsing into the sea during Tropical Storm Senyar on November 28, 2025; with the resulting inoperability of PMRMB's Refinery in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
The Company wishes to update that it had started limited and intermittent refinery operation to process its existing 'in-tank' crude inventories to supplement product availability in the market as part of its commitment to national energy security amid the ongoing middle-east crisis. This comes with the ongoing efforts by the Company to address all operational constraints including securing crude supply to enable limited and stable refinery operation while waiting for the new replacement jetty.
In relation to the replacement of the jetty, the debris clearing activities of the sunken product jetty continue to progress and all major contracts to construct a new jetty have been recently awarded. The works in replacing the jetty has commenced, with a target commissioning by the 1st quarter 2027, after which the Refinery is expected to commence full and normal operations.
Further announcements regarding the refinery operations including the replacement jetty will be made as and when new information becomes available.
This announcement is dated May 21, 2026.
