The Board of Directors of Southern Acids (M) Berhad (the "Company") wishes to announce that the Company intends to seek shareholders' approval on the following proposals at the forthcoming 45th Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the Company:-
- Proposed Renewal of Shareholders' Mandate for RRPT; and
- Proposed Renewal of Share Buy-Back Authority.
(collectively referred to as "the Proposals").
At the 44th AGM held on 29 August 2025, the Company obtained shareholders' approval to enter into recurrent related party transactions of a revenue or trading nature and to purchase its own shares of up to 10% of the total number of issued shares in accordance with Section 127 of the Companies Act 2016. This existing mandate and authority will expire at the conclusion of the forthcoming 45th AGM, unless renewal is obtained at the said 45th AGM.
The Statement/Circular to shareholders containing the details of the Proposals will be issued to the shareholders of the Company in due course.
