The Board of Directors of Asia File Corporation Bhd. ("the Board") wishes to announce that a fire incident ("Fire Incident") had occurred at the paper mill of the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Higher Kings Mill Limited ("HKM"), located in Cullompton, Devon, United Kingdom, in the afternoon of 6 August 2026.

The Fire Incident involved a paper machine located on the ground floor of the factory. All personnel were safely evacuated prior to the arrival of the firefighters, and no injuries or casualties were reported.

Based on preliminary assessments by HKM's engineering team, the affected paper machine is expected to be non-operational for approximately one (1) month for repair works. HKM currently maintains sufficient inventory to fulfil customer orders for approximately two (2) to three (3) months. The management is taking proactive measures to minimise any potential disruption to operations.

At this juncture, the Company is in the process of evaluating the full extent of the financial and operational impact arising from the Fire Incident. The Board will make further announcements as and when there are material developments in relation to this matter.
