The Board of Directors of UEMS wishes to announce that the Company has received a Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim filed by Jana in the High Court of Malaya on 11 August 2026, naming UEMS as the seventh (7th) out of thirteen (13) Defendants. 

Jana's claims include UEMS' alleged involvement in the termination of historical district cooling agreements entered between Jana and three (3) other Defendants in 2012 involving Puteri Harbour assets, which are now owned by UEMS. 

UEMS is currently reviewing the Claims with its external legal counsel and will take the necessary steps to protect the Company's interests. At this juncture, the financial impact, if any, cannot be determined. The Company will make further announcements as and when there are material developments in this matter.
