The Board of Directors of WGB wishes to announce that Mr. Lee Yee Chong ("LYC"), aged 57, has opted for early retirement from the position of Chief Executive Officer of WGB on 31 December 2026. LYC joined Wasco Berhad Group in September 1995 and has held several key leadership positions within Wasco Berhad Group over the years.

The Board would like to express their utmost gratitude and appreciation for his leadership and contribution towards WGB Group during his tenor as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Wong Yin Kee, aged 48, will be appointed as the Group Managing Director of WGB with effect from 17 August 2026 to facilitate the transition of authority, responsibility and accountability in WGB from LYC.
