Professor Dr. Irene Ting Wei Kiong was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company in July 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Finance and Master of Finance from Universiti Utara Malaysia, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Professor Dr. Irene is a Professor in Finance and Director of the Rankings and Data Centre at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). She has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, strategic management, corporate governance, environmental, social and governance, sustainability, business analytics, financial management, and institutional performance evaluation. Throughout her academic career, she has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies), Director of the International Rankings and Branding Division, Director of the Career Placement and Development Centre, and currently leads UMPSA's strategic initiatives in global university rankings, sustainability reporting, institutional analytics, and data-driven decision making. Professor Dr. Irene is an internationally recognised researcher with extensive publications in high-impact journals and has successfully led numerous national and international research projects. Her professional expertise includes corporate governance, sustainability strategy, enterprise performance management, risk management, artificial intelligence and business analytics, strategic planning, organisational transformation, and stakeholder engagement. She has collaborated extensively with government agencies, public institutions, industry partners, and international universities in advancing sustainability, governance, and organisational excellence.
