Dato' Jasmy joined IBM Malaysia in 1988, where he held senior roles in the Sales and Marketing serving the Public Sector and Financial Services Industries. Prior to his departure in 1995, he served as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of IBM Malaysia.

In 1996, Dato' Jasmy joined CCAAP Technologies Sdn Bhd as General Manager, where he led the implementation of Malaysia's first subscription-based television service.

In 2000, he co-founded Symphony Global Technologies Sdn Bhd and was involved in the formation of Symphony House Berhad, which was then listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in 2003.  Dato' Jasmy later served as the Chief Executive of Symphony's Technology Division and Chairman of Symphony BCSIS Sdn Bhd, a joint-venture company with a subsidiary of OCBC Bank Singapore. 

Dato' Jasmy previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Malaysia Building Society Berhad from 2009 to 2018, Symphony Life Berhad from 2018 to 2024, and Reach Energy Berhad from 2020 to 2023.

Presently Dato' Jasmy serves as the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Vizione Holdings Berhad, Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, and Naza Automotive Group. He is also a Director of Santan Food Services Sdn Bhd, subsidiary of Capital A Berhad and a Senior Advisor to the Enterprise Management Board of CelcomDigi Berhad.
